Cody Richardson, MD

Description

Cody Richardson, M.D. is a clinical associate at the Wilmer Eye Institute. He specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus, including treatment of amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus, infant and childhood cataracts, and pediatric ocular trauma. Dr. Richardson also has experience caring for visual disturbances associated with brain tumors in children as well as treating the ocular effects of radiation and chemotherapy used to treat childhood cancers. He participates in international outreach through an annual surgical mission trip to treat underserved children with strabismus in Guatemala. Dr. Richardson received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee in Memphis, TN where he remained to complete his ophthalmology residency and fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at the Hamilton Eye Institute and St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
